Touring Caravan Cleaning
Keeping your caravan clean is essential. It is like cleaning both your home and your car in one so it is twice as important. If you use caravan cleaning products then you will make sure that your van stays in tip top condition which will avoid costly repairs.

Caravan cleaning is important but the number of times you will need to do it depends greatly on where you take it, what you do with it and how often. If you leave your caravan’s exterior coated with dirt then the surface finish will deteriorate quickly. By washing the outside, drying and then applying some polish you will be helping to keep your caravan clean and give it the protection from the elements it deserves.
How to clean a caravan interior is simple enough, treat it like your home. You can use all the same products you use inside your house to make your caravan interior sparkle like new. Vacuum the carpets and wash the upholstery and curtains after a big trip.
When cleaning your awning, make sure you wash it all down and leave it extended to dry. The water resistant coating on the awning means you should not use ordinary household detergents to clean it as it might destroy the waterproofed layer. Buy the right caravan cleaning products suitable for awnings. If you need to you can reapply waterproofing using a waterproofing spray.
Read your Manual – there are lots of different materials on a caravan so you will not find one product to clean them all. Some products may even cause damage to some materials so it is important you read your manual for suggested caravan cleaning products.
Moulded Body Parts – these are usually made out of acrylic so a kitchen or bathroom cleaner should suffice but read the label first to make sure.
